The Lunch Program provided through the PO consists of catered food delivered by food vendor(s) and served by parent volunteers during lunch periods. Some examples of our current vendors are: Jamba Juice, Smoothie King, Pei Wei, Daphne’s, Pita Jungle, Baja Fresh, Chick-fil-A, Subway & NYPD Pizza.
Portion size, cost and choices are a primary focus as we strive to balance the nutritional food guidelines with taste and varying appetites. We also offer vegetarian items as well as gluten free. If you have any questions about ingredients, please send us an email and we will have an answer for you as quickly as possible.
Scottsdale Prep Academy partners with orderlunches.com to provide a secure, fast and easy-to-use online ordering system that allows parents to view our school lunch menu, order, prepay and manage student lunches on the web. Click here for details related to ordering online.

Parent volunteers are needed to distribute lunches to the students. Volunteering for this job is a great way to see your child and their friends during the school day, meet other parents and support this very important program. There are many opportunities and flexibility available to those who wish to help.
Volunteers may work one of two lunch shifts, with volunteers choosing which shift to work. A Lead Volunteer will work both lunch shifts, verifying food deliveries from vendors, with up to three additional volunteers assisting them at each shift.
Opportunities are listed below:
- Lead Volunteer 10:00am – 12:45pm
- Responsible for lunchroom set up and overseeing food deliveries
- Shift 1 10:00am – 11:30am
- Three volunteers needed to serve grades 5, 6, 7
- Shift 2 11:30 am – 12:45pm
- Three Volunteers needed to serve grades 8, 9, 10, 11
Scheduling is done through signupgenius.com, an online volunteer management program. Once you access the sign up calendar, you may see which days/time slots are available and choose those that work best for you. The program will generate reminder emails to you for the days you have volunteered.
If you are interested in volunteering please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to have the sign up calendar sent to you.
We need every parent to make certain that their child has a lunch. Please remember that there will be no extra food ordered to accommodate forgotten lunches or for extra-hungry students. Vending machines by the lunchroom can provide additional snacks and drinks. A small supply of dried soups will be available to a student who forgets their lunch, however, only 1 free lunch per student will be given each semester.
